He's a user of The Volunteer Spam Task Force (read more here: https://community.wikia.com/wiki/VSTF) I checked the message he had sent to you and it seems that he is protecting the copyright of the film since piracy is illegal, movies that are uploaded online are illegal.
It means that someone has uploded the movie without Blue Sky Studios' permission. The studio has done the film so it has the copyrights for it, those who upload the film online are like "stealing" the movie for free. I hope you understood, I'm not very good at explaining. I'm not sure but I think that it's not you who acts illegally by watching the uploaded movie, it's the uploader who acts illegally. If you upload the film yourself too, then it's illegall. It's not illegal to watch movies online from like Netflix.
Sorry but to become a discussion moderator, you have to earn it properly and honestly. Start contributing to this wiki while following the rules as well and with time, I'll see if you are worthy of such a title and DON'T bother asking other admins because they would probably tell you the same thing as well.
Listen, don't feel too bad but I don't think Ferdinand sequels and episodes will be possible. That's y I said they would always be possibilities, not realities. A few days ago, after u showed me a link leading to concept arts of Ferdinand done by concept artist, José Manuel Fernandez Oli on Facebook who works for BlueSky Studios, this gave me a chance to chat in person with the concept artist concerning the sequel and episode list on Facebook messenger.
This is what happened:
""Me: Hello, Jose. My name is Olivier Baghdadi a.k.a. Oliver Baggs. I am a big fan of some Blue Sky Studios movies and Disney too. The latest being Ferdinand. I am also an admin of the Ferdinand Wiki too.
Jose: Hi Oliver! Oh, really? I work as a character designer at Blue Sky , it's a pleasure to know that people enjoy your work. Thank you for your comment and I hope you enjoy our next films. ( "Spies in Disguise" and "Nimona") ;)
Me: Do you by any chance know Mr. Carlos Saldanha in person?
Jose: Oh, yes, of course. I have to work directly with each director on each of the films.
If you like and have time, please read them carefully and tell me what you think ASAP. Of course, they are still a work in progress though.
Jose: Hi, Oliver. The studio productions are closed productions, but as a personal exercise I find it interesting.
Me: what do u mean closed?
Jose: No provision for possible second parts.
Me: But can you at least show and send these to Mr. Saldanha?
Somehow, I had a dream that they might possibly become a reality one day.
It would mean a lot to me.
Plus, I don't mind others taking credit either.
Anw, please think about it. I'm just saying.
PS: Btw, thanks for the compliment.
Jose: I'm sorry, but that's not possible. Each director has his own projects. I don't know if you can propose ideas externally ( I don't think so) but that's Fox's job in LA. In any case, as a personal exercise it is certainly creative and interesting.
Me: Well, I didn't ask that you ask him to do it. I just want his opinion that's all.
In any case, thanks anw.
His opinion on my blogs just like how you did when you said interesting and creative, I mean.
Let me know asap plz.""
And next thing u know, I find myself unable to reply to this Facebook messenger conversation. Probably a block on his part or something. Still, that doesnt stop me from creating and adding new segments and episodes though. Not giving up that easily.
PS: is it possible for you to ask him why he blocked Oliver Baggs (that's me of course)? Just ask if possible.
You were probably blocked since you asked much, I think those who work at some studios aren't permitted to give info outside. You did ask pretty private stuff about the studio (the studio productions are closed productions), also I think it's prohibited the studios to read fans text and take their ideas, even if they gave credit, but you probably didn't know that. Like he said, the only ways to give the studio ideas is to actually work there, even how good your ideas were.
Then again, this isn't the first time one of my ideas have been rejected by a studio production. Last time, I tried sending an email to John Lasseter himself about an idea for a new Disney remake movie revolving over a well-known Disney villain, namely, Jafar just like that other Disney movie, Maleficent but they also had that same law thing even though they liked the idea so, I didn't insist.
In other words, it's no biggie and I'm used to it.
Hey! Sorry for the late and sudden reply. Essemtially, a bureaucrat is a Picador, the founder is a Matador and admins are Peons. They are named after the different ranks in bullfighting and should you wish to change them, you can go to MediaWiki:User-identity-box-group-bureaucrat, etc. to change them!
